i heard this morning on the radio there will be a non-violent protest against racism in the bourke st mall at 5pm tomorrow
does anyone know if this is happening?
what are the chances of it getting ugly?
i had a dream last night that i was somewhere in a city and there were lots and lots of people. for some reason i had to keep out of sight. princess wasn't with me, i was on my own. two fierce dogs came running down the laneway behind me, passed me and went around the corner to the right. i follwed them because i thought they looked dangerous and was worried they might hurt someone. just around the corner there were two police officers. i was amazed they had done nothing about the dogs and when i asked them about the dogs, they were dismissive.
i really want to go to the protest but it might go bad.
what do people think?

Yes, Harold's nasty glares at the back of Paul Robinson's head have been bringing a smile to my face for a few days now, too.
ReplyDeleteSo you don't think it'll be Harold who offs Paul? They could have been setting up a 'mislead' all this time; you're right. We'll have to see who it is, then. I hope they let us see, rather than make us wait for next year.
And I actually hope the attempt on Paul's life is unsuccessful. He's been a big part of the improvements I've noticed in the show this year. I love that he's back and hope he isn't killed off.
But there have been a lot of near-death experiences this year that never ended in tragedy (Alex being the only exception I can think of), so maybe it's time someone's luck ran out.
I hope not, though.
As for my thoughts on Izzy in her Santa girl costume: What's halfway between 'fetching' and 'cheap as'?

bevis, i reckon the bomber will be the one to do paul. he won't die, princess said she doesn't want him to die, he's nice, she said. she's only seen him getting izzy a kitten and with a big cheesy grin on his face recently. she hasn't seen him be a real baddy. the plane bomb has not been resolved at all, or not to my satisfaction. this will be it. not harold, though harold will do something untoward, or crazy.
i know what a tazer is, and mine is out of batteries that's why i am here typing this instead of being there, distracted from the purpose of protest and trying to spot a mad pirate type with eyepatch and bikies, while missing the real pirate, glamorous in her work clothes.
(elaine, this puning i just didn't want to get out of bed. must have been a hint - everything that could go wrong bureaucratically has, while all that could have gone wrong practically hasn't... a mixed day)
but i still don't know what a shiv is. and i am still very supportive of the no racism rally. am sending my vibes there, and hoping there is no trouble. i just couldn't make it. you couldn't have picked a worse day for me this year. and i'm not just saying that. will just have to do my own little bit my own way, like justine says. be nice to people. to everyone. it's not easy at times, but it's important.
