Exporting blog for backup
Has anyone ever used the export blog function to back up a blog?
I want to do this but am scared of the whole thing disappearing.

Yes. A while ago, EMS was asking about ways to roll two blogs into one. I made a test blog and did a bunch of experiments and so forth.
All my exports worked as expected. The website itself wasn't modified. All of the posts and comments were merely copied into an .XML file for download.
One thing to note is that while all the links to photos and things will still be in place, the photos themselves will not be backed up, just the text.
Cool. Does starting to teach mean that you're moving out of the frantic stage, or that things will now be even more frantic?
Also, speaking of photos, how did your pube-dying experiment go? Did you manage to get it professionally done? Did it work like it was supposed to? How did the fella react?
I think the frantic stage will continue a while longer while we get all our materials together, has taken SOOO LOOONG and is so labour intensive. I'm hoping things will quieten down but I probably should be hoping they don't. You know what they say when you start your own business.
Re the blue pubes, couldn't find a professional place that would do it with confidence so I gave up.
I've done it MG. I did it when I shut down the blog after ex found it as I was going to delete the whole thing and wanted to keep the content. It did work. Maybe create a test blog like Alex, back it up and you'll know for sure. Good luck.
I found which page, I understand how to do it however I don't trust writer so it definitely will every one of the be okay' I wished to notice from a person who'd done it.

Thanks Alex I'll give it a go if I get the guts up.
Start teaching next week but at a high school. Use your fab drawings end of April at a primary school, will let you know how it goes.
