I think that was always on the cards, considering the summit they held only last week. It would look ridiculous (and I guess it did) if anyone from that side of politics would endorse a crack pot scheme, but then again, it was Bronwyn Bishop, nuff said.

Perhaps little Johny set Bishop up, so he could come in and save the day appearing so reasonable?

yeah good point but do you know what, outspoken? i'm thinking johnny has not been strong enough in his rebuke. in fact he hasn't rebuked or made the right response.

i was thinking it was good he didn't support it, but he has been a bit weak. his objection, softly put, has been that it would be "impractical". not that it would be oppressive, a sign of intolerance, dismissive of human rights and freedom of religion etc. his quote reads something like, "then we might have to look at banning turbans" TURBANS??? could he have picked anything less relevant? what about yarmulkes and crucifixes?

so again, i am a little worried. i really hope it fades away, but i am worried it will keep rearing it's ugly head.
